Can you prone in bc2

Well I just learned a lot. I have never been into the battlefield series and I want to get BC2 but it makes it hard to get into when there is no MP tutorial.

SF4 tried to add in a tutorial but they could have gone a step further with it to help out people just getting into the series. Good but shame about the MW2 dissing. One of my proudest moments was parking my UAV ontop of the enemy helicopter as it was taking off. Instant gratification. Great Video, and I dont know how people dont know most of this.

Cant wait for release, the game fuckin owns. I couldn't tell you how many times I've ran up behind snipers without them even noticing and placed a knife in the back of their neck. Awesome video -- both insightful and funny at the same time. One thing I thought was particularly interesting was how it highlighted how different Modern Warfare 2 and Bad Company 2 is in terms of game-play.

One is solo-based while the other is heavily squad-based. Great video - Have just picked up BC2 so will be giving this a good few spins and taking copious notes! Please Log In to post. In crysis 2 our character will be able to go prone? I can see why Crytek might remove it though. Why would they remove it, it kept things a bit stealthier. Yeah, what gives with that? Who would want to do something so simple as laying down to avoid enemy fire? Rediculous, right!? You lower your thermal image, less of your body is in view, and not only that, your weapon gets better accuracy and handling characteristics!

Nanosuit or no Nanosuit, prone is one of the most fundamental things a soldier is trained to do under heavy combat, or in any tactical advantage allowing prone. Have any of you developers fired a weapon in prone under simulated combat envoronments? My brother was in the U. Marines, I don't care whether or not he had some magical body armor stopping 3 bullets, he would lay down under fire to achieve a better advantage and prevent a multi million dollar piece of equipment from being damaged.

Just because you have some magical body armor doesn't mean you can disregard the most fundamental rule about self preservation under fire, and the better handling characteristics your weapon will have.

I can't believe how short sighted the developers are being about something fundamental in a game like prone! Because we all know, firing a Barrett. BC2 was the one to bite the big-time bullet with no prone and it paid off favourably. Every single map in this game has been designed incredibly well being that there's not 1 map I don't like.

Also this is the only battlefield game with fully destructible environments. It's more fast paced then other battlefield games I find and the maps are the right size. Originally posted by engeel :. Because the game isn't severely plagued by the "Micro-Transaction autisim" intill BF3 was realeased. BF1 also sucks. I like the open and clear maps. Destruction is nice too and actually impacts the game.

BF4 for example is super chaotic and almost cod-like, and unlocking attatchments feels like a chore. Rush on BC2 is for me one of the best fps experiences. Originally posted by made in zimbabwe :.
